Q: Does it install anything to any PC I audit?

No, E-Z Audit Flash does not install anything to your PCs or any PC being audited. One .exe file is placed on your USB "thumb" drive.

Q: Does it send any information anywhere?

No data is sent anywhere and no "phone home" or other communications are in E-Z Audit Flash.

Q: Is E-Z Audit Flash "adware"?

No, it is not adware.

Q: How long does an audit take to run?

About 5 seconds.

Q: How does it work?

Put it on your USB flash drive with our installer, then plug it into any PC you want to audit. It will prompt you to run the audit.

NOTE How Windows handles the insertion of removable media can be user set and in the best of cases can be unpredictable. It may run, or it may ask if you want it to run, or it may open a folder...it's up to that PC's settings and the vagaries of Windows.

If you are not prompted to run ezflash.exe then open Windows Explorer and go to the drive assigned to the USB device and click ezflash.exe.
If you leave the autorun.inf file E-Z Audit Flash creates, you can also right click the drive in Explorer and select Audit this PC from the context menu.

Q: I don't want the autorun or context menu!

Delete the autorun.inf file in the root of your USB flash drive. Gone! If you had an autorun.inf already on there, it's still there with the word "old" in the name, like autorun_inf.old. Rename it back to autorun.inf to restore your old one.

Q: What operating systems can I audit?

PCs and servers running:

Windows Vista
Windows Server 2003
Windows XP
Windows 2000
Legacy Windows systems (NT4 with SP6, 95 and 98) will run with Internet Explorer 5.0 or newer. Some data will not be returned if Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) has not been installed on these legacy OSs.

Q: Can I save the audit information so I can work with it later?

Q: How many PCs can I audit using the free E-Z Audit Flash program?

As long as they are your own company's PCs or your personally owned PCs, as many as you wish. Read the End User License Agreement

Q: This is a great tool for our tech support staff. Can I give all my staff USB sticks loaded with E-Z Audit Flash?

No, you can only have three users/USB "sticks" per company. If you want to use it company-wide, or have more than this number, please contact sales@ezaudit.net with details of what you'd like to do and we'll be happy to provide a quote.

For large customers, we can OEM E-Z Audit Flash , including preloading it onto USB flash drives with your logo! It's a great promotional gift!

Q: Can I use this to audit my current or prospective customers PCs?

No, you can only use it to audit your own PCs. Read the End User License Agreement
